Description

β€’ Develop and maintain front end and back end software following an Agile methodology. β€’ Design, build, optimize, and maintain internal and third-party software solutions for our internal teams including Finance, Compliance, Community Support, and HR β€’ Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and deliver feedback to peers and team leads. β€’ Assist engineering and product teams with estimation of development efforts. β€’ Take responsibility over large, complex features from concept to design to delivery. β€’ Act as a resource and mentor for less experienced team members, pair or mob-programming with them when necessary. β€’ Assist engineering team with code reviews. β€’ Build and maintain unit and end-to-end tests to ensure software quality. β€’ Implement observability best practices for the application the team β€’ Ownership of end to end solutions while collaborating within a squad

Requirements

β€’ Fluency in at least one server-side language, Python preferred. β€’ Thorough understanding of HTTP APIs. β€’ 5+ years of software engineering experience. β€’ 3+ years experience building and maintaining web applications in the cloud, crafting scalable, highly available and eventually consistent distributed systems. β€’ 3+ years experience in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). β€’ Experience deploying and scaling cloud architecture, AWS preferred. β€’ Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills. β€’ Experience working with production systems under load. β€’ Experience with DevOps and implementing CI/CD pipelines, Github Actions preferred. β€’ Strong understanding of JavaScript fundamentals. β€’ Extensive experience building reusable components for web applications using modern JavaScript libraries and frameworks, React experience preferred. β€’ Strong understanding of SDLC processes such as version control, build and configuration management, automated deployments, automated testing, etc. β€’ Good verbal and written communication skills. β€’ Experience with software design patterns and a proven track record of building maintainable software. β€’ Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university in math\computer science related field, or equivalent work experience.
