📋 Description
• Discord is used by over 200 million people every month for many different reasons, but there’s one thing that nearly everyone does on our platform: play video games. • Over 90% of our users play games, spending a combined 1.5 billion hours playing thousands of unique titles on Discord each month. • We are focused on making it easier and more fun for people to talk and hang out before, during, and after playing games. • We’re looking for a product manager to join our Unified Developer Platform team to build systems and features that enhance player experiences on Discord. • This product manager will work closely with engineers, designers, data scientists, and other functions to create experiences that enable game developers to better engage their players on Discord.
🎯 Requirements
• 5+ years of experience building and shipping great consumer software, ideally as a product manager, driving prioritization, trade-offs, and timelines. • Experience and understanding of gaming and player engagement, especially on Discord. • Proven track record of achieving impact through solving challenging consumer/player problems with innovative solutions. • Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments, excited about finding solutions to complex problems, and then executing on them. • Proven ability to analyze and synthesize data. • Demonstrated technical proficiency and effectiveness working closely with engineers. Programming background is a plus. • Strong product sense and pride in understanding your customers, both developers and players.
