Description

• Distinguished Programs is seeking an Associate Underwriter to join the team • Support a team of Executive Lines Underwriters to offer Director and Officer, Employment Practices, and Fiduciary Liability products • Communicate with internal and external customers on routine matters • Process endorsements, cancellations, broker on record letters, and assist with responses to brokers • Coordinate and track ongoing service requests from brokers including endorsements, requests for policy information • Quote, Bind, and Issue insurance policies in appropriate systems and deliver documents to brokers • Maintain the underwriting files for all accounts • Serve as back-up support to team members as needed • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience • Previous experience in Commercial Insurance in a support or operational role • Executive Lines insurance knowledge and experience preferred • Aptitude for computer-based work; ability to achieve technical skills with Distinguished’s software applications, including Office 365 • Previous experience with IMS and/or ImageRight preferred • Detail oriented, and strong organizational skills including time-management and the ability to prioritize amongst various duties/requests • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Good judgement, common sense, and decision-making abilities • Ability to anticipate and creatively solve problems • Ability to develop working relationships with both internal and external customers • High level of interpersonal skills to deal effectively with trading partners and co-workers • Ability to work independently, under pressure, meet deadlines, and comfortably adapt to change
