Description

• Establishes the strategic direction of organizational development and training / learning activities. • Directs, plans, organizes and conducts training programs, education, and workshops to enable implementation and accelerate adoption of business systems and/or client products. • Creates all training programs, to ensure adult learning theories are in place. • Directs the organization in all written and practical exams and performance reports to evaluate trainees' performance and development. • Continuously improves / customizes existing programs and courses. • Directs the creation and implementation of hands-on, face-to-face delivery of product and/or system and/or training for management and non-management staff, including train-the-trainer activities. • Ensures organization provides training using appropriate methodologies, such as one-on-one, classroom, and e-learning / multi-media training. • Directs, manages, coordinates and provides logistical support for training projects and/or department strategies as assigned. • Must be able to create, design and implement computer based, web based and other interactive training programs that are SCORM and AICC format compliant. • Recommends and implements solutions to enhance and provide alternatives to current education and/or product training programs. • Hires, on-boards, develops and coaches Trainers. • Manages department and event/participant budgets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in education, Computer Science, Instructional Design or related field required. Master’s Degree preferred. • At least ten years’ experience in adult education, training/development or academic teaching required. Minimum four years’ experience in authoring tool applications for learning management system hosting. • Minimum ten years in design and development of written training materials, manuals, guidebooks, job aids, etc. Minimum ten years in educational delivery. • Minimum five years’ supervisory experience. In-store retail sales/marketing environment knowledge required. • Experience with consumer electronics products training required.
