β€’ Our strategy starts with our mission: how do we build the right set of products that can help our customers work in a more enlightened way? β€’ As we evolve from syncing and sharing files to providing advanced solutions for collaboration and distributed work, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Privacy Engineering team. β€’ Our Privacy Engineering team is crucial in ensuring that our products maintain the highest standards of user privacy and data security. β€’ In this role, you will architect and deliver scalable systems ensuring user privacy and data security across Dropbox products. β€’ You will work closely with product managers, designers, and user researchers to understand user needs and lead various stages of product development. β€’ Utilizing your expertise in computational techniques, you will conduct research to develop innovative privacy-preserving solutions while mentoring junior engineers and participating in our company culture. β€’ You will collaborate with other engineering teams and functions within Dropbox, balancing business impact, user experience, and technical quality. β€’ Many teams at Dropbox run Services with on-call rotations, which entails being available for calls during both core and non-core business hours. β€’ If a team has an on-call rotation, all engineers on the team are expected to participate in the rotation as part of their employment. 🎯 Requirements

β€’ BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent technical experience. β€’ 8+ years of software engineering and/or work-related industry experience. β€’ Demonstrated success in developing and shipping large-scale web applications with a user-centric mindset. β€’ Skilled at building user-facing software and supporting systems and libraries for the web and/or desktop. β€’ Proficient in handling full-stack projects and capable of building a minimum viable product quickly. β€’ Experience with differential privacy and conducting privacy-related research. β€’ Understanding of ML based techniques(statsig) for driving product metrics. β€’ Strong understanding of privacy engineering principles and best practices.
