Description

• Develop and implement legal strategies that align with the company's business objectives • Understand, manage, and advice executive management and the board of directors on legal risks and potential impacts of business decisions • Provide proactive legal counsel on various issues, including corporate governance, intellectual property, regulatory compliance, and litigation management • Oversee the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts, agreements, and other legal documents • Monitor and ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and international laws and regulations • Manage litigation and other legal proceedings involving the organization • Support corporate governance activities, including board meetings, shareholder relations, and regulatory filings • Provide guidance on employment law matters, including employee relations, policies, and compliance issues • Protect intellectual property rights through trademarks, copyrights, patents, and trade secrets

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; admission to the bar in the jurisdiction where the company operates • 8+ years of experience as a practicing attorney, with a significant portion in corporate law, preferably within a relevant industry • Proven leadership ability with strong interpersonal and communication skills • Deep understanding of business operations, strategic planning, and risk management • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, working with several stakeholders and managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively • Ability to consider different legal perspectives and suggest practical solutions to complex problems • Genuine desire to learn and adapt to an in-house legal environment in a technology-driven growth stage company • Team player with a strong work ethic and dedication to producing the best-in-class legal work • Outstanding written and oral skills with strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Aptitude in analyzing, interpreting, applying facts, rules, policies and decisions while analyzing legal problems and offering legal opinions • Track record of excellent judgment, integrity, honesty, discretion, and business acumen • Strong sense of urgency and commitment to deadlines, attention to detail, and the ability and desire to handle increasing levels of responsibility • Demonstrated success in working with multidisciplinary teams
