Description

β€’ As a Senior Software Engineer on our Engineering team, you will contribute to building our next-generation cloud platform using open-source software (OSS) and a range of our internal services, as well as customer-facing gateways. β€’ The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and expertise in storage solutions, along with strong competencies in compute and networking technologies. β€’ It is a great advantage for candidates to be familiar with the CNCF landscape and to be able to discuss the value and trade-offs of adopting these tools. β€’ Responsibilities: Build stable and scalable architecture, understanding the tradeoffs between consistency, durability, and costs to build solutions to meet the evolution of a rapidly growing platform. β€’ Writing reusable libraries and custom logic ensuring solid test coverage. β€’ Participating in code reviews. β€’ Minimizing tech debt while strategically pushing for progress with new features. β€’ Help to scale the team and create our engineering culture.

Requirements

β€’ 3+ years of experience working with Go in production, along with solid experience in other programming languages. β€’ Strong computer science fundamentals with a passion for learning. β€’ Understanding of performance, security, and reliability in complex distributed systems, with familiarity in system-level architecture, data synchronization, fault tolerance, and state management. β€’ Experience with one or more data center-class technologies, such as networking, storage, file systems, virtualization, etc. β€’ Nice to have: S3 compatible gateways development experience β€’ Kubernetes development experience for custom components and knowledge of k8s internals β€’ Experience with virtualization (e.g. KVM) β€’ Experience with Storage technologies (SDS) β€’ Experience with Networking technologies (SDN, BGP, Routing, Load balancing) β€’ Good understanding and experience in L2 to L7 networking protocols including but not limited to Ethernet, TCP/IP, VLAN, BGP, HTTP. β€’ Good knowledge of Linux kernel internals
