Description

• Element is looking for a DevOps Engineer with a passion for autonomous teams. • You'll operate and enhance an enterprise platform improving healthcare experience for millions. • The work is primarily remote with some possible on-site client work.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience. • 6+ years of application development experience. • Strong collaborative and communication skills. • A passion for learning new technologies and the ability to do so quickly. • Ability to write high-quality code efficiently. • Strong core Linux networking, shell scripting, and administration skills. • Experienced in automation using infrastructure-as-code (IAC) with AWS CDK, Terraform, and/or CloudFormation - AWS CDK preferred. • Working experience with container technology such as Docker and Kubernetes. • Bias towards build & pipeline automation, proactive monitoring and shifting testing and security left with tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Packer, CloudBees Jenkins, Nexus, Splunk, SonarQube, NewRelic, Nessus. • Expertise in cloud infrastructure security and IAM privilege management. • Experience with AWS infrastructure components such as EC2, ECS, ECR, EKS, Lambda, RDS, Redshift, EMR, KMS, CloudFormation, Route53, Scaling Groups, etc. • Experience in security aspects of cloud infrastructure, vulnerability scanning and remediation, threat modeling and detection, static and dynamic testing, and security documentation. • Experience with automated unit testing, end to end testing, smoke tests striving for 100% automated test coverage. • Experience with application logging, monitoring, and alerting. • Experience within CMS is a plus. • US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required. • Must reside in the Continental US. • Depending on government agency, specific requirements may include public trust background check or security clearance.
