• Responsible for developing pioneering research toward decoding and translating non-human communication. • Collaborate with biology and machine learning experts. • Conduct research in machine learning, bioacoustics, and ethology. • Communicate research results through scientific publications and non-technical publications. • Help shape long-term research agenda. • Provide flexibility in research aligned with ESP's mission.

Requirements

• Open to traditional and non-traditional backgrounds. • Expertise in machine learning, natural language processing, computational linguistics, bioacoustics, signal processing, data science, statistics, physics, or mathematics. • Experience in research, with published work in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at scientific conferences. • Solid understanding of machine learning, math, statistics, probability theory, and computer science. • Skills in Python and deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch or Tensorflow).
