β€’ Since 1945, EBONY has celebrated and chronicled Black excellence and leadership worldwide. β€’ This role is solely responsible for managing EBONYs presence on Instagram and Facebook. β€’ A proactive, social-first mindset is essential, as this role will shape EBONYs voice on Instagram and Facebook. β€’ Create, curate, and publish visually compelling content, ensuring alignment with EBONYs brand identity. β€’ Develop and maintain a content calendar for Instagram and Facebook, planning posts around key cultural moments. β€’ Actively engage with EBONYs audience by responding to comments, DMs, and tags to build a strong digital community. β€’ Track and analyze key performance metrics to refine content strategy. β€’ Identify, source, and manage influencer partnerships to ensure alignment with EBONYs target audience. β€’ Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to complete tasks from larger ideation to daily posts.

🎯 Requirements

β€’ 3-4 years of hands-on social media experience, with a strong focus on Instagram and Facebook content creation, strategy, and community engagement. β€’ Deep knowledge of Instagram and Facebook trends, best practices, and platform algorithms, with an understanding of how to optimize content for reach and engagement. β€’ Strong visual storytelling skills, with experience creating and editing engaging feed posts, Stories, Reels, and carousels. β€’ Experience managing a content calendar and scheduling posts for a brand or media company. β€’ Proficiency in Canva, CapCut, Monday.com, Sprout, Microsoft Office (or similar) β€’ Strong social copywriting and storytelling skills tailored for Instagram and Facebook, with experience managing brand accounts and crafting engaging copy in a brand-forward tone. β€’ Ability to analyze platform metrics and apply insights to optimize engagement and content strategy. β€’ Strong understanding of digital culture, Black culture, and audience behaviors on Meta. β€’ Experience identifying and sourcing influencers and brand partners for content collaborations. β€’ Team player with an entrepreneurial, proactive, and trend-savvy mindset someone who takes initiative, thinks creatively, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. β€’ Willingness to attend events, cover live moments, and collaborate on company-wide initiatives. β€’ Must have an interest in the culture and elevating the Black identity.
