Description

• Design, manage, optimize, and secure our database systems. • Work closely with operations team to ensure data infrastructure supports strategic objectives. • Transform data into actionable insights using Postgres, Google Big Query, AWS S3 Buckets, Snowflake, and big data technologies. • Design, implement, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure databases. • Monitor and optimize database performance for efficient data retrieval and processing. • Design and implement ETL pipelines for data transformation suitable for analysis. • Manage the flow of large datasets using big data technologies. • Deploy and manage database solutions in Amazon S3, ensuring high availability and security. • Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery strategies. • Collaborate with product team to understand data needs and provide solutions. • Ensure database security and compliance with standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role. • Proven experience with Postgres DB, Google BigQuery, and Firestore. • Extensive experience with Google Cloud Services and Amazon S3 Buckets, managing databases in a cloud environment. • Hands-on experience with big data technologies and data warehousing solutions. • Extensive experience designing and implementing ETL processes and data transformation strategies. • Demonstrated ability to optimize database performance, including query tuning and indexing strategies. • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for database automation and management. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. • Ability to work between 9am and 5 pm EST or at least 50% shift overlap.
