• Education Perfect is an EdTech platform designed to empower educators and amplify their impact in the classroom. • As a Senior QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous improvement and development of features on our platform. • Your primary task will be to meticulously test new functionalities, identify bugs and inconsistencies, and work collaboratively across Product and Engineering teams to address these issues. • In addition to your technical responsibilities, this senior role will provide support to the QA Lead, and can involve mentoring and coaching other members of the QA and Engineering teams. • Our ideal candidate will be based in Auckland or Dunedin, however we are also open to candidates across NZ. • Apply analytical skills to ensure that the right things are tested in the most appropriate way. • Play a key role in managing backlogs of defects, identifying, retesting and resolving issues. • Develop test plans within the context of a fluid and innovative environment, in cross-functional teams. • Perform manual testing at all stages including: exploratory, regression, user acceptance testing. • Identify opportunities to automate manually-tested operations, including developing and maintaining existing automated tests. • Collaborate with others to define and resolve issues in advance of frequent releases. • Clearly communicate QA best practice and share knowledge that contributes towards the best quality outcomes. • Make strong contributions throughout the product development lifecycle in collaboration with members across design, product, customer service and engineering.
• 6+ years experience in software testing & ISTQB certification. • Sound knowledge of agile principles, quality test frameworks and practices. • Knowledge of existing automated testing frameworks and tools, with a keen eye for identifying enhancements that improve test coverage and efficiency. • Keen attention towards test data metrics, providing key insights that inform data-driven decisions and which advance the team's quality practice. • Capable of envisioning the end-product, impact of change and advocating exceptional experience for the customer. • Proven experience influencing stakeholders, horizontally and vertically, in matters of quality to gain traction for change. • Advanced programming skills for crafting and maintaining sophisticated test scripts, with a focus on long-term maintainability and adaptability. • Experience in integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines, enhancing the seamless flow of quality checks throughout the development cycle. • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in optimising existing automated tests and troubleshooting complex automation challenges. • Experience, capability and desire to mentor others, while being keen to research and learn for self growth. • Team oriented, with initiative in reaching out to others. • Excellence in communication and information sharing.
