Description

• Support AWS Cloud infrastructure for e-commerce sites and internal sales agent applications • Deploy and automate infrastructure & platform services in Public Clouds preferably in AWS Cloud • Research and implement new technological subsystems to modernize our infrastructure • Prioritize and address production and non-production issues in a timely manner • Drive observability best practices to understand health and availability of infrastructure and applications • Configure and maintain software components, i.e., operating systems, web servers, application environments • Participate in team follow the sun (24x7x365) on-call rotation • Drive processes improvement and engineering best practices across organization • Collaborate with cross-functional departments and teams to complete engineering initiatives • Mentor platform engineers on the team • Manage design of project deadlines, priorities and deliverables • Participate in weekly releases and OS patching of infrastructure on regular basis

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields • 8+ years of hands-on public cloud AWS experience, ie EBS, EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, CloudFront etc. • 8+ years of hands-on experience with Infrastructure as code, ie Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK • 8+ years of hands-on experience with Platform Engineering building an IDP in the area but not limited to DevOps, GitOps, Observability, Security, Network, etc. • 8+ years professional hands-on strong experience administering Linux operating system environment, preferably in CentOS or RedHat • 8+ years of professional experience in managing highly available SaaS environment as a DevOps Engineer/ Systems Engineer • Proficiency in scripting in Bash and Python • Good working knowledge of enterprise Storage and Backup environments • Application experience with web technologies such as Apache, Tomcat etc. • Solid understanding of technology stack fundamentals such as TCP/IP, HTTP, NFS, SMTP, SFTP, LDAP, TLS etc. • Strong operational experience with monitoring infrastructure toolsets such as Nagios, ELK, Prometheus etc. • Experience with Docker, AWS EKS and Nginx Ingress controller is a plus. • Must have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Attention to details and dedication to quality and automation. • Must be fluent with English speaking.
