📋 Description
• We are looking for a skilled and creative 2D Motion Designer to join our visual storytelling team at Simpli / Fern. • You’ll play a key role in shaping the visual identity of our explainers, video essays, and documentaries through clean, compelling motion graphics and animation. • As a 2D Motion Designer, you will collaborate closely with writers, editors, and producers to create visual assets that clarify complex ideas and elevate storytelling. • The role is ideal for someone with a strong design sensibility, motion design expertise, and a passion for journalistic and visual content. • The role will be fully remote and will be on a freelance basis.
🎯 Requirements
• Professional proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, especially After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop • Strong aesthetic skills, with a solid grasp of composition, typography, and color theory • 3+ years of professional experience in motion design (ideally in explainers, video essays, or documentaries) • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative environment • Enthusiastic about visual storytelling and editorial content • Intermediate German language skills
