• Over the last 10+ years, Ellevation Education has built a thriving business serving the administrators, specialists, and teachers who support English Learners (ELL) at public schools across the US. Today, over 1,800 school districts use our software to manage their EL programs and drive key outcomes for students. • We are making a series of investments in the development of a benchmark assessment aimed at informing instruction for EL students in grades 2–12 across the country. • As a software engineer II on our assessment team, you’ll work in our instructional product domain to help build out the assessment solution, including both greenfield work and deep integrations with our existing systems. • You should be comfortable working across the full stack with our back end (Python, Postgres, ECS) and our front end (React). • Our teams are remote and highly collaborative. • We are looking for someone who is comfortable weighing tradeoffs between quality and expediency to technical problems.
• You have 2-4 years of software development experience. • You have experience in at least one modern language, e.g., Python, Go, C# etc. • You have exposure to React and/or TypeScript and related UI frameworks. • You have demonstrated success working in and promoting a rapidly changing, collaborative, and iterative product development environment. • You have the versatility to learn new technologies and contribute across different parts of the tech stack. • You’re naturally curious and a great team player. • You have strong interpersonal skills and can work with teammates of varying levels of experience and stakeholders across multiple domains. • You have a passion for building great products through technology.
• Benefits eligible employees (and qualifying dependents) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. • Employees can enroll in our company's 401(k) retirement plan and receive an employer match up to 50% on the first 7% of your contribution, with pre-tax and Roth options. • Employees have access to flexible paid time off for vacations, sick and disability policy, additional 10 paid company holidays, 2 floating holidays and a winter office closure between Christmas and New Year's. • In addition, we provide a generous parental leave benefit, back-up childcare or eldercare, and a variety of other perks to support the health and well-being of our employees.

Discover 100,000+ Remote Jobs!
We use powerful scraping tech to scan the internet for thousands of remote jobs daily. It operates 24/7 and costs us to operate, so we charge for access to keep the site running.
Of course! You can cancel your subscription at any time with no hidden fees or penalties. Once canceled, you’ll still have access until the end of your current billing period.
Other job boards only have jobs from companies that pay to post. This means that you miss out on jobs from companies that don't want to pay. On the other hand, Remote Rocketship scrapes the internet for jobs and doesn't accept payments from companies. This means we have thousands more jobs!
New jobs are constantly being posted. We check each company website every day to ensure we have the most up-to-date job listings.
Yes! We’re always looking to expand our listings and appreciate any suggestions from our community. Just send an email to Lior@remoterocketship.com. I read every request.
Remote Rocketship is a solo project by me, Lior Neu-ner. I built this website for my wife when she was looking for a job! She was having a hard time finding remote jobs, so I decided to build her a tool that would search the internet for her.
