Description

• Meet with insureds at their place of business to accurately audit exposures for Worker’s Compensation, General Liability, and Garage policies • Completes audits by reviewing policyholder financial records, including federal and state quarterly tax returns, payroll records, financial statements and general ledger • Prepare detailed reports of audit findings and submits to corporate office • Resolve any audit dispute through review and research • Schedule future audits and select travel routes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business or equivalent work experience • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, insurance or related business field or equivalent relevant experience • Five years of experience in premium audit • Associate in Premium Auditing (APA) designation preferred • Strong math and accounting aptitude with attention to detail • Knowledge of property and casualty insurance industry and applicable Workers’ Compensation regulations and classifications preferred • Ability to analyze, research and resolve audit issues • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to work independently as well as with others under minimal supervision needed • Ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines • Travel required; a valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle report per company standards required if traveling
