• The Opportunity • Our client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team in building an innovative Carbon Planning platform that helps global enterprises power emissions reduction. • This platform serves some of the world's most recognizable companies, representing over $1T in market value, helping them reduce risks, save costs, protect revenues, and manage emissions aligned with business objectives and sustainability goals. • What you'll be doing • Drive the development of core systems that power the platform's Planning, Scenario Modeling, and Analytics capabilities • Execute the full software development lifecycle; technical analysis and design, development, and unit test phases • Identify, deliver, and drive improvements and innovations within the software • Work across the stack to successfully deliver value to customers • Become a subject matter expert in travel and expense data and planning software systems • Provide technical leadership and share knowledge, for instance, through code reviews, pairing, ADRs, and presentations
🎯 Requirements
• Must haves • Online availability during their collaboration hours: 9am - 1:30pm Eastern Time • Hands-on experience with database-centric applications • Expertise in SQL • Expertise in TypeScript • Experience leading a project, team, or initiative • Ability to debug hard problems from the browser all the way down to the database • Nice-to-haves • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) systems • Software maintenance, production-readiness, observability, and scaling • AWS: S3, RDS, EC2, IAM, Fargate, etc. • Identity providers: Auth0, WorkOS, Stytch, etc. • Defining and upholding SLAs for operational processes you support • Data Warehousing and ETL pipeline development: Airflow, Debezium, Databricks, etc. • Additional programming languages: Python, Rust, Java, Go, Haskell, Elixir, etc. • AI/ML forecasting algorithms • Data Science • Global, enterprise SaaS development • Cloud platform providers: Vercel, Fly.io • 5+ years of software development experience in JavaScript web applications • Data-intensive, asynchronous, distributed systems • Greenfield development: going from 0 to 1 • Working in an agile development environment using git and agile project management tools • Learning other coding languages and patterns quickly • Report development in data visualization tools: Tableau, Power BI
