β’ The Retirement Plan Counselor helps individuals using Empower as their retirement provider through their employer build a healthy retirement and plan their financial future. β’ Develop strategic relationships with site contacts within their assigned territory. β’ Meet with participants virtually and conduct webinars in addition to meeting with them in person on topics such as: features and benefits of the employer sponsored Defined Contribution (DC) retirement plan(s) and retirement readiness. β’ Work closely with internal business partners delivering increased client value. β’ Act as the "voice of the customer" by relaying important client feedback obtained during on-site visits to the appropriate Retirement Services area.
β’ Minimum 3 - 5 years financial services/retirement experience β’ Satisfy service level agreements for the plan as well as achieve business results β’ Possess a comprehensive knowledge of mutual funds/separate accounts, with an understanding of the risk/reward trade off for all securities β’ FINRA Series 6 & 63 licenses required β’ Be well versed in Deferred Compensation and Defined Contribution Plans as well as retirement planning concepts β’ Strong presentation skills β’ Have experience with a consultative needs-based approach helping people plan for retirement β’ Ability to work independently; results- oriented
