Description

• Gather, analyze, and compile data needed to identify trends and patterns • Make recommendations for business actions • Assist in defining and driving strategic, operational and organizational improvements across business units • Collect, analyze, and interpret complex data to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement • Develop and utilize statistical models and analytical techniques to derive insights • Define, track, monitor and report on key performance indicators relevant to operational activities • Analyze operational processes to identify areas for optimization and cost reduction • Perform ad hoc analysis to address specific questions or issues as requested • Accurately obtains, analyzes, and provides feedback on business and client-specific information needs • Create and maintain Power Bi dashboards, reports and visualizations • Develop and lead monthly/quarterly business reviews that benchmarks each department's trending financial performance • Work cross functionally to build out solutions and insights for competitive intelligence • Maintain current knowledge of industry and business trends • Create complex data reports and provide analysis regarding forecasting, client needs and benchmarking for senior leadership

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, or related field preferred, or equivalent education, training and work-related experience considered • Expert Knowledge of Excel and PowerBI • Commercial Insurance, specifically Claims experience is preferred • 5+ years of experience in a business intelligence or data analysis role, and/or 3+ years insurance line of business, systems analysis, along with 2 years of business analysis and statistical analysis • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights • Understands data warehousing, solutions and complexities of data • Practical experience in financial modeling and operational performance analysis is preferred • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to clearly and succinctly articulate concepts and findings to various audiences • Excellent data extraction skills for analysis and reporting purposes • Time management and organization skills • Excellent customer service skills • Detail-oriented, and the ability to research, investigate and problem solve • Team-oriented work style, with the ability to work independently • Commitment to professional and personal growth and development • Trustworthiness, integrity, and personal accountability and adherence to standards of ethical behavior and professional conduct
