Description

• Ensures stability, integrity, and efficient operation of information systems. • Monitor, maintain, support, and optimize operating systems assigned. • Assist in the management of the z/VM operating systems. • Manage z/VM systems for software availability, network capacity, and performance. • Complete storage management, system backup/restore, and disaster recovery planning. • Provide metrics tracking operational performance and quality of services delivered. • Mentor junior team members and participate in Oncall Schedule.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required and/or equivalent work experience. • 10+ years experience managing z/VM operating systems • Ability to upgrade and maintain z/VM using VMSES • Experience with Installation, implementation, and operation of SSI (Single System Image) required • Experience working in a collaborative multi-client Environment. • Organizational skills for ongoing, concurrent support of multiple clients is required • Experience with Broadcom / CA VM:Manager is required. • Experience with IBM DirMaint and RACF is required • Off Hours Support as required.
