📋 Description

• We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Modernization System Programmer to join our team, focusing on driving automation, innovation through Mainframe transformation and infrastructure modernization. • Create and implement a modernization strategy for Mainframe Infrastructure that enhances innovation, automation, productivity, and efficiency, including z/OS/ISV upgrades, PTF management, and AIOps. • Provide expert advice and support to Sysprogs on Mainframe modernization and migration to the latest tools, such as z/OSMF, Watson X for z, AIOps, Ansible, Python, and upgrade workflows. • Utilize extensive knowledge of Mainframe architecture to identify and prioritize modernization opportunities. • Work closely with Sysprogs, SDMs, vendors, and clients to maximize the use of our capabilities and services. • Partner with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities. • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments related to Mainframe strategies to maintain a competitive edge.

🎯 Requirements

• Over 5 years of technical expertise as a z/OS SysProg, with a focus on Mainframe transformation, IBMi modernization, and generative AI. Strong knowledge of cutting-edge technology solutions and implementation methodologies. • In-depth understanding of the z/OS and ISV upgrade processes via z/OSMF. • Familiarity with Mainframe infrastructure modernization tools, including z/OSMF, AIOps, WatsonX for z, ZOWE, upgrade workflows, Ansible, and Python. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adjust to changing priorities. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Proficient in Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) to a level of creating documents which can be shared with clients. • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. • Customer Service skills at management level. • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills. • Must be self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Strong communication skills to liaise with cross-functional teams as well as provide guidance to junior team members.
