EHCG provides best in class services to its customers in several areas. • Job Description: Enterprise Horizon Consulting Group is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud technologies and a passion for designing and maintaining scalable, reliable cloud infrastructure. This is a remote position. • Responsibilities may include: Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC). • Work with teams to answer questions and provide input on Cloud Architecture and other technical components. • Develop project software and hardware lists as required. Continually update based on current requirements. • Develop costs as required and review. • Review and assess cloud hosting options. • Assist in the design and review of required architectural diagrams. • Review project documents such as Capabilities Requirements Document (CRD), etc. • Develop cloud migration strategies. • Report on progress. • Identify and mitigate risks. • Assist with project artifacts. • Assist Cyber with processes. • Review and update cyber artifacts. Make sure design conforms to requirements for Cyber Security. • Identify and resolve security issues. • Run Cloud working group sessions as required. • Provide software registration support as required. • Inform National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped on Cloud advances. • Provide Agile methodology guidance. Assist with anticipating security and operational issues. • Work to develop design and re-factor code for CI/CD pipeline.

Requirements

• Active clearance highly desired. Must be able to pass federal background check. • 5+ years proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role in cloud infrastructure management in federal or DoD environment • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field • Knowledge of AWS cloud hosting environments • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes • Strong understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) and configuration management tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, etc.) • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
