📋 Description
• Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-wide data governance • Ensure data is classified, stored, and retained in alignment with regulatory requirements • Lead initiatives to improve data classification and records management • Collaborate with teams to establish policies and procedures for information management • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations • Develop and deliver training programs on data governance • Facilitate meetings to align on data governance initiatives
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Law, Business Administration, IT, or a related field preferred • Master’s degree in Information Technology or a related field preferred • 5+ years of experience in information governance, records management, data privacy, compliance, or a related field • Strong understanding of data retention laws, industry regulations, and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, ISO 27001) • Experience implementing data retention policies, classification frameworks, and records management systems • Knowledge of enterprise IT systems, data lifecycle management, and automation tools for data governance • Strong project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional initiatives • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
