Description

• Manage AP Accounting Assistant and Africa Finance Manager • Review and verify allocation of bills and invoices • Maintain monthly schedules for accounts payable and receivable • Reconcile all bank accounts and employee advances • Produce error-free accounting reports • Analyze financial information • Provide technical support and advice on best practices • Review all contracts for the US and UK • Collaborate with various department managers • Prepare reports and participate in month-end, quarter-end, year-end close process • Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS principles • Lead organization-wide systems upgrade projects

Requirements

• BS or BBA degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field • 8+ years of hands-on experience in all areas of the Finance Department • Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) • Experience in intercompany activities and eliminations • Experience with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close process • Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like SageIntacct • Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables • Accuracy and attention to detail • Relevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) preferred
