As our name indicates, working at Escalon is taking the step on the ladder to long-term career growth and ultimately meeting your personal career goals. • If you share the Escalon values of free exchange of ideas, respect for differences and a keen focus on well-being we want to hear from you! • The primary objective of the FP&A Manager role is to oversee the financial planning & analysis function for Escalon clients on a fractional basis. This is a leadership position that is proactive and solution oriented, offering depth of experience to our clients in the fast-paced world of start-up finance and accounting. • Day-to-Day Responsibilities also include: Owning the finance function for your clients and help drive holistic strategy from a financial perspective • Build and own three-statement rolling forecasts; iterate as needed and hold performance accountable to budget and prior forecasts • Forecast cash flow accurately and anticipate financing needs well in advance • Build dashboards to track KPI’s, monitor channel and SKU performance, and other metrics as appropriate • Support financing processes (equity or debt) in whatever capacity needed • Serve as the second set of eyes for the controller/accounting team. Sanity check financials and identify possible bookkeeping mistakes • Primary responsibility and ownership for overall engagement level relationship with the client • Working with multiple client projects at one time in the startup and SMB space

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of strategic finance experience, including previous experience in credit analysis, private equity, investment banking, financial consulting, or a finance role at high-growth e-commerce/CPG, or Media & Entertainment company • Excellent three-statement financial modeling skills • Financial analysis acumen. Ability to evaluate financials from an investor’s perspective and make operational recommendations • Equal ability to support a senior finance executive (either the client or an Escalon CFO) or serve as the senior finance executive yourself • Strong knowledge of accounting (enough to spot possible mistakes) • Exceptional communication skills • Sophisticated depth of communication, analytical, and time management skills • Ability to be a trusted advisor to our clients • Maintain high attention to detail and strict deadlines • Comfortable in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office/Teams • Ability to multi task • Self starter, ability to work remotely and independently • Deal experience—the ability to run an equity or debt process on behalf of founders, experience in owning either side of due diligence in a deal process • NetSuite and other accounting system software experience • Entrepreneurial or operational experience • Startup experience
