β’ A World-Changing Company β’ At Ethyca, we're engineering trust for humanity. β’ As a Senior Backend Engineer at Ethyca, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of data privacy and AI governance. β’ Lead and manage a team to deliver high-quality software solutions on time and within budget. β’ Oversee the technical design and architecture of solutions. β’ Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and career development sessions. β’ Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team productivity. β’ Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders related to DSRs, API integrations, and reporting. β’ Conduct regular code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices. β’ Successfully onboard and mentor new team members. β’ Develop and execute effective recruitment strategies. β’ Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
π― Requirements
β’ 8+ years experience writing production-grade web applications or services β’ Expertise with Python 3, web frameworks (e.g. Django, Flask, FastAPI), and RESTful APIs β’ Proficient with one or more data stores such as MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, Snowflake, etc. β’ Fluent with automated testing frameworks (unit, integration, E2E) and CI/CD tools (e.g. GitLab, GitHub) β’ Love writing tests for everything you do β’ Some examples of contributing to or maintaining open source projects is a plus β’ Previous experience working independently in a high velocity environment where rapid iteration is vital (like a startup!) β’ Excellent written communication skills and a love for documentation and collaboration β’ Experienced working in an asynchronous environment like an open source project or distributed team β’ Comfortable with agile processes and best practices (but not doctrine!)
