📋 Description
• Everbridge is seeking a System Engineer with a strong software development background to join our team in Hungary. • This is a remote/home-based role that can be based anywhere in Hungary. • Do you want to save lives and keep businesses running—faster? • At Everbridge, we empower critical response teams to tackle emergencies with enhanced efficiency. • In this role, you’ll improve the operator experience and streamline communication with field operators, including ambulance, fire, and police services. • We are looking for a motivated System Engineer who thrives in a mission-critical environment and is passionate about customer support.
🎯 Requirements
• Strong experience with Windows and Linux servers • Proficiency in Active Directory (GPO, user accounts) • Experience with web servers (IIS, Apache) • Knowledge of software update management and patching • Familiarity with SQL (MS SQL and PostgreSQL) • Scripting skills in PowerShell and Bash • Understanding of programming and debugging (.NET, C#) • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and storage solutions (Dell DAS) • Basic understanding of networking topology (DMZ, load balancer) • Knowledge of Microsoft Clustering SQL AlwaysOn and Hyper-V (a plus) • Experience in GIS (a plus) • Fluent in French; strong English communication skills • Degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Windows and Linux environments • Familiarity with CAD/Command and Control Systems (a plus) • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills • Self-motivated, flexible, and innovative with a team-oriented mindset • Ability to work well under pressure and support business-critical systems • Strong customer-facing skills with an ability to adapt to different cultures
