Description
• Work directly with product management, design, marketing, and leadership to ensure we’re asking the right questions of and for our customers • Be a trusted, go-to person as a subject matter expert for all things customer research • Work across departments to scope, plan, design and execute impactful research initiatives • Use a blend of qualitative and quantitative methods to generate customer insights • Be a trusted and opinionated advocate for our customers who can speak confidently on behalf of them • Utilize research findings to influence strategic initiatives, guiding the direction of product development • Skillfully craft and present audience-tailored research assets (e.g., presentations, reports, one-pagers) to document and communicate your research findings • Foster strong collaborative relationships within the company (e.g., with product, marketing, design, sales, engineering, customer success & support, and the executive team) to ensure stakeholder buy-in and contribution to cross-functional projects
Requirements
• 5+ years of professional research experience, with a strong background in utilizing rigorous research methods to produce empirically credible findings • Adept mixed-method research skills, preferably stemming from a broad background of experience in SaaS businesses • Ability to own and drive research projects independently or involving others • Highly autonomous capabilities that demonstrate self-motivation and enthusiasm • Proficiency in owning, managing and driving multiple parallel research projects • High attention to detail, complex problem-solving, and contingency planning
