Description

• Looking for a Platform Engineer for Joist, a software platform for contractors • Focus on architecture, coding, delivery, teamwork, and leadership • Join a mission to enhance contractor efficiency and customer experience

Requirements

• Expertise in server-side API frameworks such as Ruby on Rails (or equivalent in other languages) • Expertise in database design and caching technologies (PostgreSQL, Redis, Memcached, NoSQL) • Understanding of Domain driven design • Experience with distributed systems, event-driven architecture / SOA / microservices • Working with messaging technologies such as Google pub/sub, RabbitMQ or similar • Experience in deploying FE and BE applications using Jenkins (or equivalent tools for CI/CD) • Experience and passion for Agile, DevOps and Lean approaches to delivering software and value for our customers • Able to program in a variety of languages (Ruby, Java, JavaScript) • Experience designing and evolving APIs (Ruby on Rails) • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Heroku or GCP • Experience with automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, etc. • 5+ years of professional industry experience
