Description

• Drive operational awareness to Executive Team and partner with leaders throughout EverCommerce • Help improve the business and understand customers • Provide thought leadership on data infrastructure and capabilities • Lead and build the EverCommerce Enterprise Data Platform • Build and maintain data lake, data lakehouse architecture, storage, compute, pipelines, query engine, data quality and governance • Support BI engineering team in establishing analytics and decision support capabilities • Develop internal web and product tracking strategy and implement • Increase efficiency of old business processes and improve data collection processes • Own special data-focused projects for planning/forecasting, ongoing operations, and corporate development • Extract and manipulate data for reporting and analysis • Transform business questions into actionable data exploration

Requirements

• Experience with Data lake, AWS Glue, AWS Data Zone, AWS Glue Studio, AWS Athena, Redshift, S3, AWS Data Pipelines, Python, Airflow, Fivetran • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field with a top-tier academic background, or equivalent experience • 7+ years of post-undergraduate relevant work experience in a highly analytical environment; SaaS, payments, and/or technology industry experience preferred • Strong AWS expertise with building data lake, lakehouses • Strong expertise with Python, SQL • Strong expertise with cloud platforms and data tools such as Fivetran, AWS, Redshift, Glue, Athena, Data Zone, S3, Spark, Experience with Databricks, Snowflake etc. • Expertise with data lake technologies such as Apache Iceberg & Glue Catalog • Experience with Unity Catalog, Polaris Catalog • Expertise with data workflow tools such as Airflow, DBT • Experience with other tools and software such as Docker, Ansible, Terraform or similar Infrastructure-as-code • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders • Proven leadership abilities, with experience in mentoring and team management • Extreme attention to detail with a strong sense of ownership and organization • Low ego, “no-job-too-small” attitude with a willingness to shift from high-level critical thinking to necessary mundane tasks required to complete a job • Ability to protect extremely confidential information
