• Manage indirect categories within Evonik procurement for the Americas Region. • Ensure sustainable and secure supply at a competitive cost advantage. • Comply with Evonik’s Procurement Policy and act ethically. • Manage KPI’s defined by Procurement Management. • Negotiate key supplier relationships including contract and price negotiations. • Evaluate performance of suppliers and contractors for the approved bidders/suppliers list.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical area such as engineering/chemistry. • Seven years experience in Purchasing or a related field. • A Masters degree in Business, such as an MBA, is preferred. • Prior experience in the annual purchase of MRO/capital goods up to $50MM. • Knowledge of business law, accounting principles, state tax laws, OSHA, EPA, and state licensing regulations. • Outstanding negotiation abilities. • Hands-on experience with sourcing software. • Critical thinker and problem-solver. • Good time-management skills. • Great communication, interpersonal, and networking skills.
