Description

• Q2 is seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer to join a team transitioning users to AWS. • Focus on Data Center technologies , such as networking , routing switches, and firewalls. • Collaborate to restore services, investigate root causes, and implement solutions. • Maintain and improve production cloud environments during the transition from Data Center. • Collaborate across teams, providing analysis, thought leadership, and proactive solutions. • Perform post-mortem analysis with the Incident Response Team to identify degradations. • Proactively analyze environments for performance improvements and operational efficiency. • Educate others to improve processes using technical and communication skills. • Document processes and recommend improvements.

Requirements

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a minimum of 5 years of related experience ; or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience ; or equivalent work experience • Experience in Cisco firewalls, routers , and switches. • Familiarity with Jira and Agile methodologies , with strong organizational skills to manage tasks efficiently. • Knowledge of Linux and Windows Systems Administration. • Knowledge of VMWare and cloud environments such as AWS and Azure. • Knowledge of networking concepts and virtualized environments. • Experience with Cisco ASA, Cisco Firepower , Cisco ASR Routers , and Cisco ACI for switching. • Fluent written and oral communication in English.
