📋 Description
• Join a dynamic working environment with a cutting-edge distributed team based in Lausanne. • Exoscale strives to create an environment with great working conditions and welcomes diverse applicants. • We are looking for a software engineer to join our storage team to work on the design and implementation of additional capabilities. • You'll be part of the effort to improve and scale our core distributed storage backend, focusing on the scalability, reliability and throughput of the system while keeping durability as our main priority. • This backend is powering our object storage and block storage offerings, both core products of the Exoscale catalog. • Some of the challenges you will be working on: Maintain and improve our orchestration system: handling cluster visibility, health management and reconciliation Maintain and improve our data storage agent: handling customer requests and processing replication tasks Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues Participate in code & changes reviews Take part in the on-call rotation after a training period.
🎯 Requirements
• Have experience with cloud infrastructure. • Have experience with designing, building and operating distributed systems. • Have experience with Go and gRPC, or equivalent. • Have experience working with SQL data stores. • Have a good understanding of the operating system storage landscape. • Have an eye for performance and monitoring.
