• Specular is a system designed to scale Ethereum securely, with minimal additional trust assumptions. • It is the first EVM-native optimistic rollup, enabling native compatibility for Ethereum applications. • The protocol minimizes trust in any one component, maximizing permissionless participation. • Responsibilities include contributing to engineering work across Specular’s technical stack and collaborating with team members and contributors.
🎯 Requirements
• Prior experience working on distributed systems, security and/or cryptography. • Prior experience with Rust, Go programming language and/or Solidity. • Deep understanding of public blockchain infrastructure (e.g. clients, such as Geth). • Prior experience building systems with off-chain and on-chain components, such as rollups. • Prior devops experience. • Prior startup experience. • Familiarity with web3 tooling such as Foundry/Forge and Hardhat.
