β€’ Specular is a system designed to scale Ethereum securely, with minimal additional trust assumptions. β€’ It is the first EVM-native optimistic rollup, enabling native compatibility for Ethereum applications. β€’ The protocol minimizes trust in any one component, maximizing permissionless participation. β€’ Responsibilities include contributing to engineering work across Specular’s technical stack and collaborating with team members and contributors.

🎯 Requirements

β€’ Prior experience working on distributed systems, security and/or cryptography. β€’ Prior experience with Rust, Go programming language and/or Solidity. β€’ Deep understanding of public blockchain infrastructure (e.g. clients, such as Geth). β€’ Prior experience building systems with off-chain and on-chain components, such as rollups. β€’ Prior devops experience. β€’ Prior startup experience. β€’ Familiarity with web3 tooling such as Foundry/Forge and Hardhat.
