• Lead contract negotiations with hospitals, health systems, and payors. • Provide strategic legal counsel on a wide range of legal regimes, including HIPAA, Anti-Kickback Statute, corporate practice of medicine, direct primary care, Medicare, Medicaid, scope of practice, care modalities, and other applicable state and federal laws. • Oversee legal aspects of mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, deal structuring, and post-merger integration, with a focus on legal and regulatory considerations for healthcare technology and clinical service acquisitions. • Identify and mitigate legal risks across the organization, particularly those associated with software development, clinical services delivery, and data privacy/security. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and executive team members to provide legal insights and support for various business initiatives.
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and admission to a State Bar. • In-house legal experience at a healthcare technology company. • Minimum of 8 years of legal experience, with a focus on healthcare law and experience negotiating complex contracts for healthcare software and services. • Deep understanding of the healthcare regulatory landscape. • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to build and develop high-performing legal teams. • Startup experience. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
