• Prepares financial reports to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, and profit and loss using QuickBooks Online. • Performs general ledger accounting and other related duties in the accounting department. • Prepares periodic balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements. • Maintains the general ledger in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles. • Prepares ad hoc financial analyses as required. • Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books. • Reconciles bank accounts, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks. • Reconciles customer accounts and manages accounts receivable collections. • Verifies payment of approved invoices associated with accounts payable. • Provides external auditors with assistance for annual audits. • Files required tax forms with government agencies. • Coordinates with software vendor to maintain accounting software system as appropriate. • Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting in a non-profit setting. • Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles. • Highly proficient with accounting software with a preference for QuickBooks Online. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
