• Develop Slick User Interfaces: Design and implement smooth, user-friendly interfaces, from complex external features to essential internal tools. • Provide Technical Leadership for the Web Stack: Lead and guide the technical direction of the web development stack, ensuring scalability and performance. • Continuously Improve the Design System: Ensure the design system remains modern and adaptable, maintaining consistency across products while optimizing for both aesthetics and functionality. • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and analytics, to deliver features that improve both user experience and business outcomes. • Ensure Code Quality and Performance: Maintain high standards for code quality, and ensure the platform is performant, secure, and scalable. • Mentor and Guide Other Engineers: Provide guidance and support to more junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and learning-focused environment within the team. • Own Features End-to-End: Take ownership of feature development from concept to deployment, ensuring features are fully tested and ready for production. • Implement Best Practices in Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and incorporate best practices in software development and architecture. • Drive Technical Innovation: Contribute ideas to help evolve the tech stack, improving the platform's scalability and overall performance. • Work Closely with Designers: Collaborate with the design team to ensure the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) are cohesive and delightful for the users. • Focus on Automation and Efficiency: Identify and implement automation tools and processes to improve the efficiency and speed of development cycles. • Troubleshoot and Optimize: Proactively find and fix bugs, improve performance, and continuously refactor code to ensure the system runs smoothly.

Requirements

• Are a team player, are humble, and like to help others grow. • are genuinely friendly and ambitious. • like to take initiative and find new creative solutions to problems. • are an excellent communicator and know how to coordinate teams, collect feedback and identify bottlenecks. • 5+ years in an engineering role in product-driven organizations. • have a track record in mobile-first products. • have an excellent eye for aesthetics, layouts, fonts, and what makes a lovable product. • are fluent in English (written and spoken). • break down big projects into small deliverables, well-presented to engineers, and move fast based on user feedback. You prefer small solutions and know when to improve something.
