Description

• Product Ownership: Take ownership of the API product lifecycle from inception through implementation and maintenance. • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into clear, actionable user stories and technical specifications. • API Strategy Development: Develop and execute a cohesive API strategy aligned with business goals and technical capabilities. • Roadmap Planning: Create and maintain the API roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on business value and technical feasibility. • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with development teams, architects, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and quality delivery of API solutions. • API Design and Documentation: Define API interfaces, protocols, and standards. Ensure comprehensive and accurate documentation for developers and end-users. • Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce quality standards for APIs through testing strategies, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives. • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and dependencies related to API development and proactively mitigate them. • Compliance and Security: Ensure APIs adhere to industry standards, compliance requirements, and security best practices. • User Feedback and Iteration: Gather user feedback, analyze usage patterns, and iterate on API features to optimize performance and user experience. • Training and Support: Provide training and support to internal teams and external developers using our APIs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) • Proven experience (4 years) as a Technical Product Owner or similar role, with a focus on API development and connectivity solutions • Strong understanding of API design principles, RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and other relevant protocols • Hands-on experience with API management platforms (e.g., Swagger, Postman, Apigee) and API development tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins) • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment • Please not that some travel will be required to HQ for team and/or company events
