Description

• Responsible for supporting the company’s General Accounting Department • Participating in monthly financial close and bank reconciliations • Performing budget variance analysis and assisting in SEC/FERC reporting • Supporting regulatory accounting and rates groups

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required • Minimum 0-2 years professional work experience is required • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) is required • Ability to work independently or as part of a team on assignments that may be broad and ambiguous in nature • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with General Accounting staff and internal customers at all levels of FirstEnergy • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate issues in a clear and concise manner • Desire to learn, grow and work across FirstEnergy to deliver quality results within established deadlines • Possess excellent time management skills
