Description
• Collaborates with the operational buying manager and specialists • Completes transactional activities post strategic sourcing contract • Partners with business unit end users to define requirements • Drives Total Cost of Ownership value • Creates and processes a high volume of purchase orders • Assures effective completion of P2P activities • Utilizes Master Service Agreements in collaboration with others • Coordinates with project managers for delivery to end users • Drives TCO Savings for operational spend • Analyzes and optimizes sourcing methods with specialists • Develops strong relationships with suppliers • Implements and manages multiple RFQs • Collaborates with plant managers for material requirements
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, business administration, engineering or related is preferred • In lieu of a degree, 2+ years of experience in related work is required • Comprehensive understanding of the operational process of purchasing and making low-value purchases • Good written and oral communication skills • Detail oriented (check documents, check errors, etc.) • Ability to understand and follow procurement procedures, adapting to new policies and changes • Strong oral and written communication skills • Users and supplier relationship skills • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures • Ability to perform in accordance with FirstEnergy’s values and behaviors
