📋 Description

• The Engineering team at Fleetio is expanding and has an opportunity for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Core engineering team. • In this role, you will focus on delivering insights to Fleetio customers via reports and dashboards in a delightful and performant user experience. • You will produce high-quality features and help design and scale our data and analytics products. • You will collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and other Engineers to plan, design, and drive the implementation of cohesive solutions in core areas of our reporting platform. • You will influence the following areas: software architecture, analytics dashboards, standard reports, custom reports, API design, Quality Assurance, and automated testing. • At Fleetio, we foster a culture of 'Product Engineers', where we value and prioritize engineers who enjoy being part of the product discovery process. • Our Engineering and Product teams are structured as autonomous PODs that execute within one focal area toward a defined product vision. • We strive to deliver easy-to-use software, and our goal as engineers is to quickly and continuously deliver meaningful value to our customers. • We've optimized our CI/CD tools and processes to easily get code into our production environments, resulting in an average of 40 deploys per week. • Fleetio is a modern software platform that helps thousands of organizations around the world manage their fleet operations. • Transportation technology is a hot market and we’re leading the charge, with raving fans and new customers signing up every day. • We raised $144M in Series C in June of 2023 and are on an exciting trajectory as a company. • Fleetio is also a proud founding member of the Rails Foundation!

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails • Experience with ReactJS, TypeScript • Experience working with data to craft thoughtful solutions to surface reports, analytics, and metrics • Experience writing and optimizing complex queries using SQL, CTEs, and ActiveRecord/Arel • Firm understanding of object-oriented programming and relational databases, such as PostgreSQL • Expertise with data modeling and optimizing query performance • Solid experience solving challenging architecture problems with good design • Experience with unit testing frameworks • Excellent communication skills (particularly written) • Be sure to mention “coffee” in your application so we know you actually read this
