Description

• Build ETL workflows to ingest and process geospatial data, especially remotely sensed products from public and private providers • Collaborate with science team to implement and review production code for new products and workflows • Work to improve performance and scalability of workflows, identifying where processes can be updated

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in writing code working with remote sensing and geospatial data • Python coding proficiency in the open source geospatial ecosystem (rasterio/gdal, shapely, geopandas, xarray/rioxarray, dask) • Experience with different geospatial formats and best practices (GeoTIFF, COG, Zarr, NetCDF, GeoJSON) • Experience with STAC metadata standards and best practices • Working experience in cloud computing platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) • Familiarity with git source control and code documentation standards and practice • Past experience with machine learning is not essential, but an ideal candidate will have some experience • Experience with data science and analysis not essential, but a nice to have
