📋 Description

• At Ford's Advanced EV Development Security Team, we're safeguarding the future of mobility. • We seek an experienced Cybersecurity Development Engineer to implement security features for our next-generation electric vehicle platforms. • Translate high-level security architecture into hands-on engineering solutions. • Integrate security features directly into critical systems. • Develop, implement, and validate security features across the platform.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience. • 5+ years of experience in in embedded systems development and cybersecurity implementation. • Comprehensive knowledge of embedded systems architecture and cybersecurity with proven experience applying this knowledge in automotive contexts. • Proven expertise in embedded C/C++ programming, with a strong focus on secure coding practices. • Strong debugging skills and experience with embedded systems debugging tools. • Solid grasp of automotive cybersecurity technologies and mechanisms in areas such as in-vehicle networking (e.g., LIN, CAN, Ethernet, wireless, UDS, XCP, TLS), hardware trust anchors (e.g. HSM, HSE, TEE, secure elements), secure boot, secure diagnostics, key management, and Over-The-Air (OTA) updates. • Working knowledge of cryptography fundamentals, including symmetric and asymmetric algorithms, hashing, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), and X.509 digital certificates, with experience applying these in automotive security contexts. • Solid understanding of common security vulnerabilities and attack vectors in embedded systems. • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts clearly. • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to overcome security challenges in resource-constrained environments.
