📋 Description

• Take full ownership of backend products throughout the entire development lifecycle from initial design and architecture through implementation, deployment, and ongoing production support. • Work closely with product managers and cross-functional engineering teams to design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable developer tooling tailored to the needs of game teams. • Design and implement efficient, reusable backend systems that support multiplayer features, chat functionalities, and moderation, ensuring low latency and high availability for seamless player experiences. • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, optimizing database queries, caching mechanisms, and network communication to maintain smooth and reliable gameplay experiences as user scale increases. • Lead the team in rapidly delivering new features and updates while maintaining code quality and stability, enabling quick adaptation to evolving game and user needs. • Work closely with Product Management and other teams to align technical solutions with product goals, ensuring cohesive and integrated social experiences across different game touchpoints.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong skills in Node.js with TypeScript, and experience with AWS services. Hands-on expertise in designing and implementing a microservices-based architecture that utilizes WebSockets, gRPC, and similar communications protocols. • Extensive knowledge of relational and non-relational database systems, including optimization for data sharing, read/write operations, and scalability. • Proven track record in supporting live services, especially in gaming environments, ensuring stability and performance. • Proactive, self-directed, and eager to learn, with a passion for building scalable, high-quality software systems that enhance user experience. • Confidence in producing high-quality work, with an understanding of how design decisions impact performance, and an ability to work effectively within distributed teams. Bonus if you have experience with Unity and mobile game development. • Experience with Unity, mobile game development, and a passion for gaming.
