β’ Serve as the primary point of contact with the client for project activities β’ Work with clients to develop scope, proposals, resolve conflicts, and build the Foth relationship β’ Develop and execute projects within budget, schedule, and contractual commitments β’ Manage all project activities in accordance with the schedule and take responsibility for overall execution of work β’ Document and execute all changes in scope of project β’ Develop new business opportunities through excellent project execution β’ Direct and coordinate the engineering design team, subcontractor activities, scope of work, and contract specifications β’ Anticipate project staffing needs and provide input to the selection of project team members β’ Establish objectives and provide performance feedback for project team members β’ Work with procurement resources to solicit, bid, analyze, and award installation services / contracts β’ Provide direction related to procurement of parts and equipment and develop or assist with the development of procurement plans when required β’ Establish project safety plans and ensure its communication to all employees on the job β’ Promote, support, and monitor safety policies of Foth and Foth's clients β’ Work closely with construction management resources during installation phase of projects β’ Develop or assist with the development of installation, technical check-out, and start-up plans β’ Work with, and sometimes act as, the start-up leader on the installation portion of projects; coordinate OEM service representatives and contractors β’ Anticipate problems and work with client, engineering, OEM's, subcontractors, and project teams to provide corrective actions β’ Work internally and with the client to identify and execute efficiency gains for work processes β’ Travel as needed for data gathering, design reviews, installs, start-ups and troubleshooting (approximately 30% annual average)
β’ Bachelor's degree in engineering (Paper Science, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical) or equivalent technical experience β’ Prior experience in various contracting models such as time and materials, lump sum, guaranteed maximum, etc. β’ Prior use of project management tools for schedule and financial tracking β’ Prior experience facilitating discussions and presenting material with both internal and external audiences β’ Experience in capital project management β’ Experience in leading project scope definition efforts β’ Prior use of MS Project
