• The Daily Dot is looking for a Social Media Personality to bring our stories to life across social platforms. • Your role will be to create engaging, on-camera video content that’s informative, entertaining, and taps into the latest trends. • Responsibilities: • Create engaging, on-camera social videos about trending internet topics, pop culture, memes, tech, and hacks. • Use trending effects, filters, and editing styles to maximize reach. • Stay on top of social media trends, algorithms, and best practices. • Collaborate with our editorial and social teams to ensure alignment with our brand voice and goals. • Grow our social presence by leveraging your creative skills and understanding of viral content. • Shoot and edit your footage to be shared across social platforms.

Requirements

• A bubbly, on-camera personality that shines through in videos. • Show us your main character energy. • Proven experience as a content creator with a portfolio or links to videos demonstrating your work. • Track record of growing social media accounts through engaging content. • Familiarity with social platforms like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X (Twitter), Pinterest, Bluesky, and Threads. • Ability to identify emerging trends and quickly turn them into video content. • Strong storytelling and improvisational skills. • Comfort with a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. • Please include a link to video examples and/or your portfolio in your cover letter.
