Description

• Lead and manage a team of 1-3 data engineers, providing guidance, mentorship and support, including day-to-day supervision and performance reviews • Oversee execution of data project deliverables, ensuring accuracy of results and adherence to best practices, data quality standards, and project milestones. • Establish and implement data governance processes to ensure that all data projects are appropriately scoped, documented and quality-tested • Act as an accountable partner with cross-functional project teams - including data engineers, consultants and domain experts - to achieve project goals and deliverables, on time and on budget • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients in the healthcare industry, public health agencies, and insurance companies to understand their specific challenges, goals, and data requirements and propose appropriate methodologies and approaches • Translate complex technical concepts into clear and actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders and business specification documents • Contribute to thought leadership initiatives, including participating in conferences and presentations, and engaging with the health data and public health communities • Identify opportunities to expand Freedman HealthCare’s data science and analytic offerings, including guidance on entering new markets and other business development opportunities • Provide technical input to proposal writing

Requirements

• Proven experience in leading and managing data and analytic teams, including performance management and resource allocation • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive insights from complex datasets • Advanced capabilities in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders • Strategic mindset, with the ability to align analytics initiatives with business objectives • Demonstrated ability to apply management and organizational skills in support of company priorities • Creative problem solving skills • Experience designing and implementing data governance, data quality, and data privacy principles • Experience in health care delivery, public health concepts and health policy is a plus
