Description

• Oversee the ingestion and integration of data sources into consolidated data environments, ensuring optimal modeling to reduce redundancy, maximize usability • Ensure data integrity, quality, and accuracy throughout the data processing lifecycle • Manage complex security protocols in the ingestion and dissemination of data • Lead master patient identity resolution procedures • Act as an accountable partner with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, consultants, and domain experts, to define and achieve project goals, deliverables, timelines, and budgets • Engage with clients in the state agency to understand their specific challenges, goals, and data requirements • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing expert guidance on health data strategies, methodologies, and best practices • Author and maintain a library of technical documentation including process documents, data dictionaries, and ERDs • Direct the work of 3-5 data engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure successful on time, on budget project execution

Requirements

• Proven experience in leading and managing large technical projects • Expertise in data profiling, manipulation, and transformation using tools like Pandas, SQL, SAS or similar • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive insights from complex datasets • Deep understanding of how different data models can best support a d • Advanced capabilities in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders • Strategic mindset, with the ability to align analytics initiatives with business objectives • Creative problem-solving skills • Deep knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data privacy principles • Experience in health care claims, public health concepts and health policy is a plus
