• MKS2 Technologies, LLC, an award-winning high growth small business, creates innovative and customer-centric technology solutions in the areas of Cyber Security, Instructional Design and Training, Software Engineering and IT Support Services to improve the security and well-being of our clients. • The Senior Database Developer will perform advanced analysis and development work involving all aspects of supporting, improving, and enhancing and optimizing the database performance for a large project. • This position requires strong Oracle SQL and PL/SQL experience, along with extensive experience in performance tuning of stored procs and views. • The developer will also devise approaches to solving complex problems, provide thought leadership, and provide ongoing updates on project status. • This position works for section of a statewide education data system. • Work assignments follow a defined software development life cycle (SDLC) process using an Agile-like approach for completing code changes for defined releases. • This role works across multiple agency stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and efficacy of created reports, in the service of school districts.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of experience: • Expertise working with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL (advanced concepts such as bulk collect, handling data in JSON/XML format) • Expertise with writing complex Oracle queries and optimizing them to reduce SGA/PGA/TempSpace usage • Documentation • Dev/Unit Testing • Participate in Agile development • 4+ years of experience: • Proficient in storing, querying, manipulating JSON data in Oracle database tables • Proficient in creating complex queries and views using data stored in JSON format • Proficient in optimizing performance of stored procs and views accessing data stored in JSON format
