• At GFiber, we believe in the power of great internet that lets people do more, helps communities get stronger and makes amazing things possible. • GFiber is an Alphabet company that brings Google Fiber and Google Fiber Webpass internet services to homes and businesses across the United States. • Our Software Engineering team is responsible for Billing & Payments for GFiber customers. • As part of this role, we are looking for a senior application engineer for design, build, manage this billing and payments platform. • You’ll learn and use industry standard implementation patterns for building and maintaining billing and payments functions for GFiber. • As a team member, you foster a team environment that supports collaboration and learning. • Develop and integrate scalable billing and payment solutions that adhere to industry best practices. • Lead payment engineering efforts with a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. • Collaborate with internal and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality projects on time.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience. • 5 years of experience in building, configuring, and maintaining payment processing systems utilizing products like Adyen, Zuora. • 3 years of experience in software design and development using Java and/or Kotlin to build services for billing/payment processing in an enterprise eco system. • 2 years of experience leading and mentoring engineering teams. • Master's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or other technical field, or equivalent practical experience. • 2 years of experience using Linux/Unix operating systems. • Software engineering experience with Java/Kotlin and related technologies, including Spring Understanding of API security best practices and standards. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
